DSIP modulates multiple neurotransmitter systems simultaneously — GABAergic, serotonergic, dopaminergic, and glutamatergic pathways. It also reduces cortisol via the HPA axis. Unlike benzodiazepines, DSIP does not directly agonize GABA-A receptors.

GHRPs: Sleep Through Growth Hormone

Growth hormone-releasing peptides like GHRP-6, GHRP-2, and Ipamorelin improve sleep through their effects on GH secretion. Frieboes et al. (1995) found that GHRP-6 increased Stage 2 sleep and stimulated GH release Frieboes et al., 1995.

The relationship between GH and sleep is bidirectional. Deep sleep triggers GH release, and GH promotes deeper sleep. For individuals with age-related GH decline, GHRP therapy may restore deep sleep architecture.
